This chart above is from the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. According to this 2,500-year-old ancient wisdom, every major organ of our body is linked to a specific time on your internal clock. Each organ has a 2-hour time period during a 24-hour cycle. According to Chinese medicine, this is the time when a particular organ is most energized and working its hardest, affecting the corresponding emotions, and what our overall energy level is during that time.

I remember the first time I learned about this fascinating clock and was so amazed that our body cleanses different organs at specific times during a 24-hour cycle along with the emotion associated with that particular organ. Our bodies are so awesome!

We can learn so much from this organ/emotion clock. A valuable clue is to see how your body is functioning at specific times during the day. Do you have energy slumps or bursts of energy at specific times during the day or night hours? Are you waking up at a certain time every night? These all can be signs of congestion according to the specific organ/emotional clock.

I’m going to break this down for you in 2-hour segments throughout your day, showing which organ/organs are working and which emotions correspond to that particular system.
