“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”

~Albert Schweitzer

This saying by Albert Schweitzer touched my heart when I read it. So many times, in our lives we may feel down or discouraged when we go through challenging times. This happens so often when we receive a diagnosis of a particular illness or go through health challenges. We feel like the life itself has been sucked from us and the fire within us is dwindling.

Having at least one special person in our life to share our heart and soul with is so essential during our healing journey. Feeling understood and loved during these difficult times can reignite the passion and light within our spirit.  It can encourage us to keep going and to have faith that God will work everything out in His timing and through His grace. Knowing that our ashes of pain, heartache, and suffering can be turned into something beautiful so that we can be that one person for someone else in their hour of need when the time comes.

Remember to take the time to nourish yourself body, mind, and spirit so your flame burns brightly and can pass to another and light their inner flame in return. Self-care is crucial on our journey of healing and you are so worth it!!!

Nourish yourself by eating healthy, whole foods, drink filtered water, get enough rest, detoxify physical and emotional impurities, breathe properly, get some kind of movement, let go of resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness, recognize and heal your emotional and spiritual wounds, have a heart of gratitude, and have a spiritual practice. These are all very important ways to take care of your whole self to heal and to be a light of healing and inspiration to all the lives we touch in this world.

May these words encourage and inspire you today to keep your own flame bright so you can ignite other flames around you who need a spark of light!

Many blessings of light, love, and healing to all of you!
