The color white is a color that represents new beginnings. It also embodies innocence, purity, cleanliness, wholeness, and completion. Think of a blank canvas that is clean and ready to start a new adventure into the world of new colors, paints, possibilities, and a new story. This is how I think of white. Thinking of painting with colors, white contains an equal balance of all the colors of the spectrum, which represents the positive and negative characteristics.

Some white foods to support the color white (not processed white foods of course) are pears, cauliflower, onions, garlic, cabbage, turnips, coconut, and white potatoes.

White is also thought of to many as a heavenly color, one that is full of light, brilliance, and illumination. The color white is the color that is most frequently mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible. It’s mentioned 75 times in total of the Old and New Testament. White symbolizes the righteousness of Christ in the Bible. It is also a representation of purity in Christ and symbolizes holiness and dedication to God.

Isaiah 1:18- Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

When Jesus washes us clean from sin, He makes us white as snow by giving us His righteousness.

I think of white as a holy color and one of being pure and connected to God.

The color white represents the last energy point of the body as well, known as the crown chakra. Interestingly enough, this chakra is one that represents spirituality and consciousness. It is located on the top of the head.

I see this point as where God infuses us with His powerful bright white light that fills the rest of our being…body and spirit.

When this energy point is balanced, one can experience peace, have a better understanding of others, feel inspired and energized, have freedom from limiting beliefs, and being one with life.

When this energy point is unbalanced, one could experience fear, worry, feeling disconnected from life and others, unbalanced, and living a life without purpose.

Other challenges, such as; mental depression, headaches, being cynical, secular thinking, and a disbelief or distrust in spirituality can occur as well, when this point is unbalanced.

Effective Ways to Balance This Energy Point:

1. Prayer /Meditation- getting quiet inside and spending time renewing your spirit is the most effective way to balance this area- try to spend at least 5-10 minutes daily alone in quiet prayer. As you start making this a daily routine, you might find the time starts to increase with ease.

During your prayer/meditation time, imagine God placing His healing hands on your head and infusing you with the most beautiful bright white light…now send this light into your entire being, from your head to your toes. Imagine the light beaming out of your body, fingers, and toes.

*If you’ve ever watched Beauty and the Beast (my favorite Walt Disney movie), I think of the Beast at the end when he is turning from a beast to a man again. During this process, he is being infused with light. It’s busting out his hands and feet. This is the mental picture I want to inspire upon you when you imagine God’s light touching you. Now take that illumination out into the world and shine bright!

2. Carry or wear white stones/gems- pearls, apophylite, moonstone, opal, selenite, snow quartz, white topaz, and diamonds

3. Essential oils for this point are: jasmine, rose, lavender, sandalwood, frankincense, and myrrh

4. Helping others and choosing to love- When we help others we take the focus off our own problems and we’re infused with a new hope and joy inside…for being helpful, feeling needed, and giving from a place of love, unselfishness, and humility.

Did you know that helping others in need is one of the best remedies for depression and feeling hopeless inside? Giving helps us to find a new purpose to living again and inspires us to love. Love for others and ourselves. This is the message I want to leave you with for the end of the rainbow color series. *Please remember the beautiful prayer from St. Francis of Assisi that was shared with you weeks ago. May it be a life prayer for all of us!

Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace

Where there is hatred, let me sow love

Where there is injury, pardon

Where there is doubt, faith

Where there is despair, hope

Where there is darkness, light

And where there is sadness, joy

Oh Divine Master, grant that I may

Not so much seek to be consoled as to console

To be understood as to understand

To be loved as to love

For it is in giving that we receive

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned

And it’s in dying that we are born to Eternal Life

Amen
