Lemon Water
*Drinking a glass of purified room temperature water with the juice of a whole lemon is a wonderful way to start your day! You can also add a small pinch (about 1/8 tsp.) of Celtic or Himalayan salt to your lemon water to add extra minerals and to aid in adrenal function for the day.
Drinking fresh lemon water first thing in the morning helps to start the process of detoxification for the day, assists the liver in draining properly, and helps to balance our body ph to a more alkaline state.
*I also add a pinch of cayenne pepper to my lemon water some mornings for an extra health punch! Cayenne is a wonderful herb for promoting circulation and healthy blood. It also helps to prevent colds and flus because it prevents the body from damp and stagnant conditions.
