This is a comforting, creamy drink to celebrate the first day of autumn! Most people love pumpkin spice recipes...including myself! It's that perfect time of year to be enjoying this wonderful spice blend that is not only scrumptious but also has many antioxidant protective factors that come along with all the different spices that make up "pumpkin spice."
This is a yummy and healthy energizing drink to enjoy as a pick me up, adrenal aid, rejuvenator, and immune supporter. The spices in this recipe are warming, healing, and decongesting, and the healthy fats and dates are nourishing, comforting, and soothing to an overworked system.

This is wonderful drink to heat up and make before bed for a restful sleep or you can drink it cold during the day for a lovely, creamy, sweet, and satisfying drink as a refresher.

I hope you love it like I do :)

RECIPE:

This makes about 2 cups

3 Medjool Dates (pitted)

10-12 raw almonds (soaked in water for 8-12 hours is best) but you can also use raw unsoaked almonds

1 tsp ghee (clarified butter) or coconut oil

1- ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk (preservative free)

10 peppercorns or ¼ tsp ground black pepper

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cardamom

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp clove powder

1/2 tsp ginger powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/3 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree

Whole leaf stevia or Monk Fruit Extract to add extra sweetness if you wish

Place all ingredients in the blender on high for about 2-3 minutes or until well blended.  Drink cold or room temperature as a refresher or heat in a saucepan and drink hot for a warming and comforting night cap.

Enjoy!
